About Me

My name is Hélène Huber but I'm known in the cyber craft community as 2amscrapper and am recognized by my toddler bonnet photo.  I use my bonnet photo as my avatar on all the sites I frequent in cyberspace.

I live in central Illinois with my husband of 52 years.  This is my 16th year as a paper crafter. I spend my spare time scrapping, creating cards, and making mixed media projects. I discovered that I found a hobby I love because I'm a disorganized perfectionist.   I belong to local art clubs and look for classes on art techniques.

I love challenges and enter them as often as time allows.  My personal challenge to myself is to Pile It On--to see how many challenges I can enter with just one piece of art.

Currently I'm taking a break from design teams.  My most recent was on Imagine That! digistamp.  Previously I was on  My Artistic Adventures Challenge Blog,  I completed a long run as creative contributor for the blogozine, Unruly PaperArts which closed December, 2015.  Former design teams include Rogue Redhead Designs, LLC, Gecko Galz, Gingersnap Creations, Queen Kat Designs,, the Flying Unicorn, Pages In Time, and Bella Creations. I've been published in Take Ten and Stampers Sampler magazines (Stampington publications) as well as two e-zines: Scrapbook News and Review and Enchanting Creations.

I craft in my land of Scrap a Lot.  I call my blog LOTSA SCRAP to go along with my cyberspace name 2amscrapper. I decided on that name because often I am up until 2am working on some art project! Don't ask me when I sleep!!!!

I started paper crafting in the fall of 2006, making Christmas cards with Stampin' Up products. This immediately was followed by a scrapbook for my husband's retirement party honoring his thirty years in education. I learned through magazines and on-line sites how to create layouts. Purchasing products for the scrapbook quickly led to a paper addiction. My all-time favorite paper line is Graphic 45. I'm a member of  several on-line Face Book groups: Coffee Loving Papercrafters, Vera Lane Studio, Everything Wendy Vecchi, Red Lead Swap Sisters, Unruly PaperArts, and Gecko Galz.  Still defining my artistic style, I'm most comfortable creating vintage pieces with ephemera collected at auctions and flea markets combined with images from on-line sources.  I recently discovered digital scrapbooking and have made albums for my grandchildren. And I'm heavily into art journaling.

On a personal note, my husband and I live in a Victorian home built in 1894. I have 3 grown children plus their spouses and soon to be 7 grandchildren.

I have an art album that is a work in progress.  I'm creating pages for my various design team art groups.  Here's what I have so far:
